Many people are finding a much better quality of life for a fraction of the cost in Hua Hin, Thailand. What is it that makes this place so attractive for senior citizens looking for a great lifestyle in a beautiful, tropical location?

Cost of Real Estate
When it comes to property your money will go a lot further, up to 75% further in fact. You can buy a brand new luxury pool villa with tropical landscaped garden on 800 sqm for around 200,000 Pounds. What will 200,000 Pounds get you in Europe? (232,000 Euros). Check out this link to give you an idea of what you can get for your money.

Cost of Living
You can live much more luxuriously in Thailand at a fraction of the cost. 2000 Pounds (2300 Euros) will go a long way here with so many affordable restaurants (Hua Hin is a foodie’s dream), cheap golf, affordable beauty services such as massage, way cheaper petrol, no local government taxes (council rates), very cheap water bills (especially if you have rain water harvesting tanks). In fact the only thing that can seem expensive is your electrical bill due to air con but this can be halved if you have solar panels (it’s always sunny here).
Also, hired help is very cheap. You can have a full time gardener and clearner for about 40 pounds a month.

Overall Lifestyle
In Hua Hin you can play golf every day, take walks along the beach, eat the delicious local fruits, seek out bargains in the local markets, join local leisure groups, get a gym membership, go on food tours, soak up the local culture or chill next to the pool. The options are endless.
I also have to mention the weather of course. We enjoy year round sunshine and average temperatures of 30 degrees. Also, living in a tropical climate is great for your health.
