Hua Hin is a location that is steeped in Golfing history. The Courses – There are 8 golf courses here all within 20 minutes of the town center: BlackMountain, Banyan, Springfield, Sea Pines, Lakeview, Majestic, Palm Hills and Royal Hua Hin (the oldest golf course in Thailand).
Royal Hua Hin Golf Course
This is the oldest golf course in the kingdom of Thailand, construction began in 1919 and was completed in 1928 and the original clubhouse has been preserved.

Black Mountain Golf Course
This 27-hole, award winning golf course is located in the foothills some 12 kilometers west of Hua Hin, the original 18 holes was opened in 2007 and in 2016 an additional nine holes, the west course, was opened.

Two other golf courses worth considering outside of Hua Hin are Kaeng Krachan and Dragon Hills.
Kaeng Krachan
Kaeng Krachan is set in a remote location in Petchaburi Province which is around a one-hour drive from Hua Hin. An 18-hole course with mountain views. The 9-hole mountain course opened in 2008 was designed by Jack Nicklaus and in 2010 Kaeng Krachan played host to an Asian Tour qualifying event.
Being 51 kilometers from Hua Hin the number of people who play this course is low, especially in the low season, it makes the journey worth it for Hua Hin golfers looking for a change and green fees are low but the facilities and restaurant are basic.

Dragon Hills, named for its dramatic sweeping natural landscape, is situated on lush land in the middle of a valley, with hills of varying sizes and shapes. A fantastic course just under 2 hours from Hua Hin and they have their own hotel so perfect for staying overnight and playing 2 rounds of golf.
